I was shut down as a child in the playground, because I said I wanted to be president. A little boy told me that only boys can be president. I was introduced to sexism as a very young age, and it changed the way I thought.

She took her life experiences and struggles and turned it not only into books, but also art. Martha Hall got diagnosed with breast cancer, and decided to share her experiences through books.
